I bought some new vinyl. The vinyl sections in my area are growing...sure I can buy it online, but I miss the days of looking through bins...it also gives me a kick to see teenagers waltz past the pop .......

what you are describing. I use the 1/2E's with my 2a3 amp. 88db sensitive, but incredibly efficient (flat at 8 ohms). The 3/1P is also great if you don't mind less bass. Here is a fun review... ______ .......

I've heard the divas with powerful sand amps and tube amps and I was not impressed. I have had the audio note conqueror in my system with my Spendor 1/2's, and that was a nice combination. I don't kno .......

as long as it won't cause some sound anomoly, I found "LP frames" at bed, bath and beyond (actually my wife did). Putting cool LP covers in them and hanging them up keeps with the theme and looks real .......

Interesting question. Lots of people don't even know that a stereo is supposed to image and so put the speakers in odd places around the room so you have some sound over here, and some sound over ther .......

its the new "high efficency" ones that take like 500 hours or something. And if you get any component with black gate caps in it beware...definitely 200 hours to sound good and 500 hours to sound real .......

based on recent experience. I have spendor 1/2's which are true 8 ohm speakers ( I think they dip to only 7.25 in the midbass), 88db sensitive. These speakers need no power!! I've used an 8 watt 300B .......

Wish I could have heard them in California!!! Perhaps this year. My Spendors (1/2's) use scanspeak tweeters and they LOVE tubes, but they are an 8 ohm speaker ( and deadly flat at 8 ohms ). Interestin .......

That's a "problem" with the the audio note stuff. Takes forever to burn in, or bed in. My audio note Dac One.1x signature took at least 600 hours to fully bed in. And don't ever turn the thing off; th .......

classic series. The 1/2 is my favourite, but the 2/3 is close, and a bit warmer, and is a steal at the price. The 3/5 is great at what it does, but then at it's price it should be compared to the 3/1P .......

For what you are asking for, I would reccomend you consider the Synthesis Shine integrated amp...or another amp based on the 6L6/5881 output tube, like the Audio Note Soro, or Soro SE. The Shine is 40 .......

Yes. That is the gist of what I am getting at. A flat in room frequency response is necessary, but not sufficient. What I mean by "timing" is partly, to add to your words, harmonic integration and coh .......

the 124 is like THE Classic for those in the know, and the 121 is a scaled down version of it (different platter, smaller spindle, one speed, no clutch), but not many were sold in its day cause the 12 .......

There is a huge difference in sound quality when you use good stands. You really should consider it part of the speaker. The main difference is that good stands will tighten the bass, focus the sound, .......

You really should think of the AN/E's as a "floorstander" in terms of bass. Most floorstanders won't go nearly as low as the AN/E's. You should try the E's and J's in your own room to see if the E's h .......

my experience with "pricier" amps is mostly with Audio Note. I agree that they are less prone to improvement with after market power cords. Perhaps they not only use good transformers, but don't skimp .......

tube amps tend to sound fine with stock power cords. Ironically, the less expensive thet tube amp, the more an expensive power cord seems to make a difference (for example, a $500 "the essence" power .......

It's all about system synergy. The Jolida stock works great with my Spendors...I have not tried them with AN speakers, so can't comment. About the AN Kit 1. That is a power amp with a passive pot...fr .......

"stupid good for the money": exactly. I prefer the 302b, and you prefer the 502b...the 6550's have better bass, but I love EL34 tubes...the poor man's 300B as I see them :) Both great amps. Stupid goo .......

These speakers (Matrix 802's) are great as are the Matrix 801's...much better than the Nautilus 800 series in my opinion. If they are in good shape sonically, then you just scored big time. I have the .......
