Use whichever of the two cables has the lowest capacitance. The higher the capacitance in analog video the lower the bandwidth, which equates to High frequency rolloff most easily seen as a softness ( .......

to buy the 187? The meter I was talking about is the fluke 87, which has a 20 kHz Bandwidth with ±0.7 to 2% AC accuracy over that range. Even cheaper 2nd hand. You could of course use an oscilloscope .......
