Yes, I can confirm that Hybrid SACDs can be played on PC CDROMS and CD burners. They also play nicely in Car CD stackers! .......

All of my Hybrid SACDs sound better that my single-layer (ie SONY) SACDs so far IMHO. As other people have already pointed out, getting the same title on both single-layer and hybrid would be the real .......

I had a similar problem, and dragged out an old Kenwood Preamp with an 18Hz HP filter, and it cleaned out the subsonic waffle without adversely affecting the overall sound. .......

Sean, I have one SACD , "New York Reunion" - McCoy Tyner (Chesky records) which has lots of subsonic info on the left channel all throughout the third track on the disk - it doesn't seem to be rhythmi .......

I heard that the reason is that the plant used to print the Sony discs is only capable of printing single-layer SACDs, but this may be untrue. .......
