Agree. I have the AT33PTG/II cartridge and am amazed at the quality of sound it gives, especially for the cost. And this coming from a Lyra Argo i. .......

Then the LRS probably won't cut it for you. They are designed for a smaller room. I'd suggest the 1.7i's at a minimum. .......

Why change? The Bryston 4Bsst is a superb amp for the 1.6's. I used that combo for years (until I let some fool talk me into selling my Maggie's). Now I have 1.7i's and drive them with a Jeff Rowland .......

It was a power supply problem. It's fixed and sounding better than ever. Plus, Parasound got it back to me in a two week turnaround (coast to coast). now THAT is what I call customer service. ::: TOPI .......

I would say it's probably system dependent. Many DAC's these days do the reclocking. That alone would not be enough to justify the Digital Lens. But it's that 2 to 3 second buffer of RAM that the Gene .......

It's not a DAC, it's more a buffer between transport and DAC that has a small RAM cache, takes the data from the transport and strips it down and reclocks it as well as really reducing jitter. It just .......

If you're looking for a new (at least to you) SACD player (that plays DVD-A and CD too), look for a Pioneer DV-79AVi. You'll be amazed by how good it sounds - better than players many times it's origi .......

Has had tansport problems. Well documented here. I had one and it had those selfsame problems. Mine was, however, fixed properly, so I had no complaints. But both my Esoteric's have never had a hic-up .......

Gee, what a shock. He compares the PH5 (at $2500) to a $5000 phono stage PLUS suggests adding another couple of hundred on Jensen transformers. And one wonders why he prefers the sound???!!! I'll bet .......
