I get those problems on some of my Miles Davis CDs and SACDs as well as LPs. It is likely due to the microphone and recording technologies used at the time. The recording gear is likely clipping durin .......

I clean every record with a VPI HW17. I'm asking these questions more to try and formulate a standard by which it is acceptable to ask for a refund on LPs I order. I've had some with a pop or two, so .......

Can't you use the Tascam to record in a neutral format that can be sampled down to any of those formats without sound quality loss by the Tascam unit? Do you need a separate program like Audition to d .......

Treating your room is defnitely worth while IMO. I had my dedicated room designed by Rives Audio and it is well treated. The important thing to remember is that only you know how much acoustical treat .......

The effects of the room don't have to be bad to have an effect. In an anechoic chamber, where the room absorbs everything but the direct sound, sounds extremely different from the average room. It is .......

I used the WASP method myself, and the Wilson dealer used it as well (since I bought Wilsons). It works amazingly well for my speakers... I had a hard time finding the ends of the neutrality zones mys .......
