I'd trust your ears and your deal. The spirit level is designed to check the arm being level. VTA isn't always best at this angle, the cart can also be slightly off. I think the spirit level is a awes .......

Joe hit a important point above. The ayre's are designed to be left on, give off lil heat, use lil power and are ready to go with their best sound when u sit down. Most tubes require a warm up period. .......

I think Ozzy gave some good advice. I've owned a BAT VK60, 75SE, and 150SE's in the past. They are all very good amps don't at all sound like a typical 60 or 75 watt amp. In fact, I am running Ayre MX .......

As a former BAT VKP10SE superpak owner, it sounds much better fully balanced on the INPUT and OUTPUT. So you'll need a tonearm cable correctly wired with XLR's for the BAT's input. As well as XLR to X .......

Not sure you can really get the NOS 6c33c-b's anymore. Everyone I see seems to have the same stock. Matched pairs are recommended by BAT. I just put in Tung Sol current production 6sn7's in my VK150se .......

Matched pairs and matched sections are important in the BAT amps and pre's. Mostly on the 6922's and 6sn7's. Only one place + BAT I've found that matches the output tube pairs (6c33b) Each tube is run .......

I've used a VK60 and now a vk75SE with Wilson Watt Puppy 6's. Similar impedance and sensitively to Cabasses'. The BAT drives the heck out of my Wilsons. You'll be ok. .......

I added 1k to the resistance. My BAT phono stage has switches to add 100 ohms, 1k, 10k to the default 47k (or a combo the those). Plus for the anal (like me I guess), posts to solder a custom resistor .......

I agree with Craiger56 on this one. The SME 20/2 suspension is very precise and very tough to move. But take the patter off and it seriously moves. It has to hold up a lot of weight with the plinth. N .......

I'm not sure you really gain much by going to the Cary. It may be a little different, but not better. You might also have a gain issue that your BAT doesn't have with your Denon. This is one of those .......

I can't answer some of your questions. But if you arm is flat or slightly raised, this tends to emphasize the high freqencies. This is going to make record noise standout and loose some of the warmth .......

I replaced the vdh with a hovland a few years ago. The hovland much more detail, less bright, just better in most everyway. I'm using xlr connectors so I can't comment on the RCA's. You'll like it... .......

I've had both, and recently sold my Hydra w/Python cord. I prefer my power cords going straight into the wall. (1 fim gold, 1 kimber palladian 10, 1 trans ref) I think this is really system dependent .......

I did the p10 to p10se upgrade. It's a major step up. better detail, bass, much more quiet. However, I feel this is more of a system cartridge matching question. The Pass will do better than the BAT .......

Not sure in you are using a vacumn machine? I use one wash step, one rinse step (using the wash brush), then one rinse with a rinse only brush. I only use distilled water. Use my VPI 16.5 between each .......

It'll be just fine. My VK50Se is on all the time. Bat says 2 years or so on the 6922 based tubes...4 years on the 6h30's. Use the standby feature and don't power it down completely... .......

The counterweights are made by express machining. look it up on the amusicdirect.com website. about $80 new, but you can find them used on audiogon. they go fast, so don't argue over $42 vs 40 dollar .......

for $300 I'd do it. The speed control is better. And a couple of other things. Not huge, but for $300, plus could sell your p3 for something w/o arm. Also, try a new couterweight for the arm and a rin .......

Buy a rega 25 w/ rb 600. Then buy "the lifter" it will lift your tonearm up at the end. Works w/ most tt's. Try amusicdirect.com for the lifter or elusivedisc.com. That's your better sounding option. .......

I was at my dealer, he had a vkp10se that came with factory shorting plugs on the (unused) XLR inputs. On a whim I tried them on my VKp10. I use a RCA tonearm cable. All I can say is wow. BAT charged .......

Makes a huge difference. Several companies sell wire harness' speciffically for the Rega arms. I don't know how difficult it in though...The inside of the arm get's rewired as well... Incognito is one .......

I used to own a p25 with rb600. That weight made a big difference. You can find them on audiogon occasionally for 45-50. Ringmat was also an improvement over the felt mat... .......

Depends how fast it is. It should be a gentle decline not a drop. I used to own a p25 with rb600 arm. It took maybe 2 seconds tops. If it is just a straight drop, then maybe the mechanism is defective .......

I bought the palladian 10 (I think) it's the top of the line model. Compared it to the Fim gold and the transparent ref xl from my local dealer. It's really good in my system. It's on a BAT VK60 amp. .......

Hi Walter, the DCS Delius just absolutely blew the dac section of the 9 sig away. Much better dynamics, soundstage, air, detail, everything. This comment in no way says anything bad about the nine sig .......

The High current UO was pretty close to the PP300 in the reviewers opinion. However, the UO with the PP300 was even better then the 2 alone. PP300 still better by itself... .......

Try the FIM Gold, the Kimber Palladian, the Shunyata Viper 2, and the Transparent Ref XL. All great, all do things just a little different. Might need to mix n match a little to get it the way you lik .......
