I'm presently using a laptop with my music loaded to it and the Sonos app to send music to the play5 and the connect via Wi-Fi. I was wondering if the same thing could be accomplished using a rpi and .......

Right now, I'm on a winning streak running cplay on the 121db setting and no stopages. Ran Latency checker it sez my device should be able to run audio without dropouts. Let me bounce this off you, I' .......

The System is in the basement with florescent lights. If I turn off the florescent light by the stairwell( not the closest to the system) the system will stop playing about 70% of the time. The cplay .......

Yes i use long playlists. Usually 6-8 cd's log. Cplay does not stop,i.e. the counter continues to count. I have cplay set for 145db, will try at 121db unless I get a stopage. The combination of cplay, .......

I run cplay, to M-Audio 7.1 revolution card,s/pdif to a NOS Dac at 24/44.1. The problem is every few hours or so the music stops. The time counter on cplay continues to count. I don't know if the DAC .......

hi Chris They are recommending WAV or Flac because their (and my) favorite media player is cplay. Cplay only works with those two formats. You must also create cuesheets, but that's become very easy w .......

You say Jukebox has a good ripper . I see that it does single .wav files with cue sheets , but I can't get the thing to do a database lookup and stick the info on the cue sheet , or add the album art .......

I converted my file from WAV to FLAC , downloaded it to Foobar Media Library and created the CUE sheet with the foo create a cuesheet dll. I then could play the FLAC file in cplay by opening the CUE s .......

If you need spdif to go to an external dac , why not just use a Hagerman USB-spdif and then plug in your dac ? Wouldn't this be a viable highend solution ? How would the hag-usb stack up against a Jul .......

I've posted several times that humidity makes a big dif . Iowa ,in the winter , is a low humidity time cause the furnace runs quite a bit and if you turn up the humidifier the windows fog up . Summer .......

I updated the X-overs on my MGIIIa's a year and a half ago bypassing the cheap connectors from the external X-over to the internal . This made the speaker excedingly revealing in the top end . MGIIIa' .......

I used the black Memorex until 4 years ago when they started making them in Taiwan . The new Memorex (Made in Taiwan) black will not play on my transport . TY's are still made in Japan and work great .......

This method works wonderfully on PS electrolytics to lower the ESR of the supply caps but is a two edge sword for coupling . whereas bypassing a lower quality coupler with a high quality cap can make .......

That is a common trait of silver plated copper wire , some folk love it some don't . You could probably warm it up a quite a bit with the gold plated furutech or p-079 oyaide plugs on your cable and y .......

In addition to a long time to settle I would also get the Cardas PC off the floor by about 8 inches so that your carpet isn't changing the the dielectric of the cable . All my cords are off the floor .......

If so , are the effects additive ? I've read of some of the Power station crew adding three or so of these to their stereos . Oh by the way , they are connected parallel to the hot/neutral aern't they .......
