I doubt you'd be able to measure any difference. You might be able to hear a difference though... However that's not many strands, so I'm not even sure of that, even though I have some Mundorf air-cor .......

Ah, thanks for the info. Should work OK if correctly, although quite small - maybe not ideal to control a 15" driver. Damping factor of 3 suggests around 2.6R output impedance. .......

I notice nobody has commented on what I posted above. Was this the Pass F2 amp ( I suspect it was - because of the low power output ) . If so, this would never work with the horn driver in the Klipsch .......

Run as per Thorsten's circuits, as pentode, you'd get more like 80x gain for both of those pentodes. Excellent drivers too, I like C3m particularly as a driver for 300B in that style . C3m triode may .......

Hmm ... If what you say is correct about how to analyse this horn correctly ( I have just been trying directivity for 0.1 degree off-axis ) then I do need to re-think this horn . Under those condition .......

Hmmm... what do you mean ? That's relatively low Rg for triode SE - 300B XLS (700 Zout) into Slagle 3k:5R as I currently use is about 1.5R including the DCR of the secondary . I just allowed a little .......

Paul, You know I was using the 12GN7 with a 9.5K load as a driver for the VV32 amp ? So you don't need to use a really low anode load ; and you need something on the anode to 'use up' some of the high .......

Hi, I've used 100 ohms effective myself , that was as a 10K load seen through a 10x step-up. It's a good starting point, but try from 50 to 220 ohms, maybe wider, if you can . I have more recently use .......
