Conjecture perhaps but some details seem to be missing at this point from the other posts I see. First, a pair will yield 3dB more output than a single speaker. Specs are usually give per single speak .......

Those sell on the used market between 150 and 250. Mint examples have gotten close to 300. They are nice sounding speakers. You would be hard pressed to better them at those prices. Collectors are out .......

A true 120dB at 16Hz "breaks things" in adjacent rooms. 140dB is noise to the human hearing system..well beyond the scope of any sort of fidelity. (other than fidelity to noise) .......

I made a home brew full horn system about 30+ years ago and ended up using the T35 vertical, sitting on the top of the mid enclosure and without a baffle. 12dB/oct @ 5K. The speakers were corner horns .......

Bruce Swedien (famous recording engineer) is 78 years old, still mixes regularly and claims he can 'still' hear 17kHz. BTW, his mixes are some of the best in the industry to this day. .......

Some people cannot see the value in certain things and others do. Thank goodness for individuallity. I have recordings which reach below 30Hz (actually 20) and if the system cannot stand on those 16Hz .......

Really depends on the woofer but in general, I try not to let 15's (or 16 in that case) go above the 500-700Hz point at full signal and the more upper frequency energy that enters can reduce bass powe .......

It is very efficient and needs to be crossed over around 8K. Sonically, it does "hiss and jingle" and will not reproduce lower frequencies well (3 to 4K) where the 075 can go lower but sounds 'trashy" .......

Good productions are enjoyable at any sane volume level. My definition of extreme is (on the UPPER side) average levels as high as 95dB with peaks hitting 110+dB. Even 120dB of bass power can be enjoy .......

220V or 240V? There is a difference. FWIW, the USA is 120V, no longer 110V unless you have a huge house and a ton of line loss from your panel. If the unit is 220V, a 0.5 to 1.0 will cause overvoltage .......

They are not gain controls, they are input attenuators. 5 O'clock is unity. Anything less is attenuation. The purpose of those controls is to balance outputs between amplifiers when used in a multi-am .......

As a hobbiest, I was using Polys and air coils (for tweeter) as early as 1979. I suspect many manufacturers did as well. I've seen air coil tweeter coils (with string holding them together) in a 60's .......
