It was $1450 in today $4 $13000. The amplifiers are now not buzzzzing. The preamp is a cluster and will not pass a signal to save its soul. If I use the inputs on the amps directly it sounds quite go .......

Lpads are of the devil. You could use something better with finer attenuation. I've used several of the attenuators from intact audio and they are the real deal with tons of options. Dave can also do .......

The amp is the first diy I did. The power supply comes up slowly via 6da4 damper diodes. It does run the 45s conservatively. The amp is simple and stable. I have a few pairs of old 45s but I do prefer .......

Trying my hand at repair of a not so valuable tube before I attempt repair on anything else. The old glue was hardened around the base but it all fell off. I was just going to ad super glue to that .......

I've heard khorns sound great with 45 300b and 2a3 SET amps as well as higher powered Mac MC225 and MC275. The worst I've heard is with high powered solid state. .......

I've lived with every Klipsch Heritage speaker as well as Jubilees. My philosophy is different than most. If the room is a compromise why compromise the speaker? I always go with as big a speaker as p .......

A good friend loaned me a pair of EML45 mesh plates and the build quality is amazing. I can't refer to performance against other mesh plates but they sound great and have been reliable for a few years .......

That listing is not Klipsch made Jubilee but DIY. The Jubilee has lower distortion and more extended range than the khorn. PWK felt he had bested the khorn and indeed he did. It is one of my favorite .......

When I had Khorns I preferred A crossovers. I switched to the 4 ohm tap on my MC30s and my tried my 300b set amps on 8 and 4 ohm tap. I'd swear the 4 ohm tap was best. Give it a try... I don't like th .......

I recently went through about 20+ antique 45 tubes. We tested globes and ST shapes. I ended up with many beautiful but dead 45s. Then I listened to the tubes that tested very strong and worked my way .......

A friend rescued these horns and drivers. One works and one does not. On the broken one the voice coil was actually stuck within the driver and came apart from the diaphragm. It measures 3 inches acro .......

I picked up a major boat anchor in the form of a BUD National Radio. It had some big iron and dual 866 dual 812 and a single 807 with some smaller metal can tubes. The 812 plates on both look the same .......

It reminds me of the prototype in the jubilee aes paper. Edgar did inspire Klipsch to use tractrix with his articles in Speaker Builder. Could Edgar have also inspired the Jubilee? It is possible even .......

I'd rather have khorns than speakerlabs. There were issues with some speakerlabs. Hell you could buy a beater pair of khorns and sell the horns and drivers for a pretty penny. I sold a pair of 1970's .......

I got the cover off and the belts are in terrible shape. I've never seen belts so misshapen. Just ordered a belt kit from vintage electronics. I think once the new belts are on it will work just fine. .......

I want to say thanks to whoever recommended rolling papers with thinned elmers to repair speaker tears. I tried this on a University 6201 and it is the best. The paper goes translucent and it barely r .......

For a whopping 3-4 watts I'd stick with Khorns or Belles. Perhaps with higher watt set you could expand your selection. If you change your mind Klipsch trade and sell well. Good luck. .......

I watched several youtube clips on speaker repair and had a friend talk me through it. I don't want to cover the front with an ugly repair so I went through the back to do the best I could to keep it .......

This was actually PWK's resolution to this issue as well. They didn't do this for production because they would need to be custom fit for each speaker. To keep cost and time in line this was not done. .......

You can actually buy the Jubilee with a veneered front but you need to go through a pro cinema dealer. Klipsch also modified the lf design a little to make them easier to build and to make the bracing .......
