I haven't heard a 103 on an Ekos, but it works beautifully with the Ittok. Being that the Ekos and Ittok are so similar, it should be fine. Failling that, the Ortofon Kontrapunkts are popular choices .......

The DNM/Reson Reca mm is a peach, and works well in the Ittok. Its a UK/Swiss design quite similar to Linn's new Adikt. For a little more money however you could get a Kontapunkt a from Ortofon, which .......

I've not come across this brand before (I use Lyra's SPT), but I'd give it about 3 minutes before playing. Be very carefull to apply the fluid to the stylus tip ONLY. Dave Farrell is quite correct in .......

This kind of distortion is normally down to misalinement of the cartridge. When setting up the cart, use a good protractor and remember that its the cantilever you should be setting up - NOT the body .......

If you can afford the VPI, its probably the better of the two (at least in engineering terms). The beauty of the Moth is the low cost of the kit version. I've been using the Moth for about 5 years now .......

As a rule, anything that works on a Linn will work well on the td160 (or the 150). The Linn Akito would be a great choice as long as you're not planning to use a low-compliance moving coil cartridge, .......

Thanks all. I opened it up and it looks like its a mk2 after all (organic shaped circuit boards). Switching from 306 to 606 was interesting. Basically its the same musical Quad sound, but there's more .......

Recently bought a 606 to replace my faithfull 306 (there was nothing wrong with the 306, I just couldn't resist the bigger amp at the price). Its left me a bit puzzled however... The amp is a 606mk1, .......

I own an LP12 and have heard the VPI. Personally I feel it comes down to your taste in music - the more rhythmic Linn is a better jazz deck (it just gets the toes tapping), the darker sounding VPI is .......

I currently use an LP12/Cirkus/Valhalla, but liked the idea of DC (seemed to fit with my views on mains isolation) so ordered the OL kit. I'd recomend caution on this one as it totally changed the cha .......

The static and detritus from manufacture are worth getting rid off, but MRA is the big reason for wet-cleaning new LPs. Not only does it dull the sound, more importantly it gathers and adheres to the .......
