I believe Eminent Technology does this: "a low mass foil/mylar diaphragm is used with conductor traces etched (like a circuit board) with high resolution." .......

A few tidbits from the review: DW1 woofer is the 'end table'looking version. No price given. WDM woofer is the same as the DW1, but is the 'ugly sister' of the two, lacking the wood trim along the sid .......

They review the MMC2 on wall speaker, the CC5 center channel, and the DWM/DW1 woofer. The DWM/DW1 is the 'end table' looking speaker previously seen with the unreleased 'Mini Maggie' speakers. ::: TOP .......

When I reglued my 2.6R's, the miloxilane coating over the panel was tacky, which apparently it shouldn't be. Lightly sprayed it with Touch 'n Tone (comes in spray paint form) and it was no longer tack .......

You've also gotta remove the screws along the vertical edges of the 2.6's that hold on the wood trim pieces. .......

My worry would be getting metal shavings all over the ribbon magnets and possibly messing up the ribbon itself. I suppose one could remove the actual ribbon first, but that thing looks really really d .......

Thanks a lot for the info. I've been kicking around some designs for reframing my 2.6R's, all of which would've narrowed the overall width of the speaker by a few inches. Guess I'll have to go back to .......

IMO, I'd go 2.6, 1.6, 1.5, 12. That's largest to smallest. The 2.6R's got a ribbon tweeter while all of the others have quasi ribbon tweeters. Something to be aware of with the 2.6R (as it's an older, .......

FYI - Don't know how fast it'll happen, but since you've got 2 different metals in contact plus electricity going through them, you're going to get some corrosion. .......

Not exactly a planar, but more 'planar-ish' than the monkey coffins. 6' tall, 50Hz - 20kHz...all yours for a cool million Yen (~$10k) if you live in Japan. "Finally, Sony is striving to incorporate it .......

I've got my 2.6R's & a Velodyne in a similarly sized room. I haven't tried them in a larger room, so I don't know if the room's too small to let them 'breathe' properly or not (and I suspect it may be .......

I don't know which ML dealer you're planning to go to, but driving an hour from downtown Chicago isn't needed. Other than Magnolia, the only ML dealer in the Chicago area (that I know of) is Audio Con .......

I've been using a pair of Carver Silver 7t monoblocks to power some MMGs and now some 2.6Rs. They work great. I've also used a Carver M400t 'cube' amp to power the MMGs. .......

I just paid $1200 a few months ago for some 2.6R's with a similar description. If you get the serial numbers you can call Magnepan and confirm if new tweeters were sent out for that pair as I did. The .......
