ANY Driver will beam the frequencies whose wavelength is shorter than 1/6th of the diameter of the cone. Off-axis response will be compromised for those frequencies, that's why many manufacturers only .......

I stated this in a previous thread as well but here goes. The 600 series (601 - 604) uses very good driver but they were implemented by accountants. The x-over parts are cheap and nasty 2nd order cap/ .......

Too much! The magnetic interference between the inductors will void all your calculations and change the x-over freq. Place them at 90deg, far enough apart and/or shield with suitable material. Regard .......

pburant, The 604's are bold speakers but they lack some refinement. The drivers on them are excellent however and they can be turned into giant killers with some work. The drive units are direct desce .......

Zozo, Sound like a bad cap. Had the same problem with some old AR 5's. Test the caps (You have to take them out of circuit) of both x-overs with a quality capacitance or have it tested at a electronic .......
