I can't do 40hz steep rolloff because of my midbass horns needing around 100hz xover. So in this case the 21" woofers don't play "nice"? What's the max size? Is there a general rule? .......

All makes sense, but this would still require the use of a separate ground wire. Have you considered using the cable shield as the ground wire? The way I see it, this means we eliminate the separate g .......

Both are a lot more efficient than Beta 12 below 200Hz and have a flatter freq responce below 100Hz. However, they will require a vented enclosure, which is ok with me. I used WinISD for simulation. F .......

I read that the air space in a loose fitting dialectric improves the sound by decreasing the capacitance effect of the dialectric. Also that no dialectric is even better for the sound (only bare wire) .......
