The 4Pi will work with DHT's. You may find them quite nice in your space. I, personally, would look at one of the Cornscala iterations. Higher efficiency than the 4Pi's with about the same footprint. .......

If the amp is built as spec'd in Sound Practices, the PT rectifier winding is rated for 2 amps. If the PT is the Magnequest MR 5500, Mike spec's conservatively. Overdrawing the rated current typically .......

Not a measuring issue. Double checked with back up meter and compared to known good SE40 PT. My Variac is also calibrated to my typical line voltage. The issue is definitely the PT in question. Cheers .......

Yep! Both straight from the wall plug, (123VAC) and at 120VAC on my Variac!! Also measured 120VAC at the IEC plug and the header plug from the board to the PT. No line voltage drop before the PT prima .......

Done! Well at least the temp sled. There were three null points, which would make sense, given the distance front-to-back of the ST120 horn and the wavelength at 3.5KHz. The null was down about 7-8dB, .......

Definitely replace the caps. I have a pair of Heathkit AS27's (Jensen SG-300) Changing out the old caps made a huge difference. I used PIO caps, but any good film cap will be an improvement. Still tr .......

What are you trying to accomplish? There is a huge gain factor between these tubes AU7 = 19; AT7= 60; AX7 = 100. Generally you can interchange AX7's for lower gain with an AT7. But a more typical swap .......

Hey, Not sure which model or vintage, but you should be able to adjust the angle of the curved lifting platform for a larger margin of safety. Just loosen the screw at the top of the lift cylinder and .......

The satellite Rasputin stores are pretty sparse with vinyl. I've not been to the Stockton location, but the Pleasant Hill and San Leandro stores aren't really worth the effort to visit. I will second .......
