I am not sure what you mean by it pairs with your receiver. If you want more slam for your money check out the BIC America F12 for under $200. The challenge with the Yamaha is that it's a small driver .......

I am happy with my Audioquest Dragonfly. If you want simple, simple check out powered speakers with a built in DAC but that will likely push you over your budget. KEF and Quad have models as do a doze .......

Try wiggling the plug on the right channel input. If the sounds cuts in and out then you have a mechanical problem with the jack. Solder joint gone bad perhaps. .......

What type of software do you need? Much of it is available as open source these days. Windows 7 or 8 is so much easier to configure than XP was. But you may have to throw away that dot matrix printer .......

What color is the dragonfly? It should be green for CDs. If not you need to change the sample rate to 24 bit, 44100 Hz. See page 9 of the manual. It should sound better once this has been done. ::: T .......

Google Windows 7 remote control and you may find what you are looking for. I think most of them are IR based which is only useful if your machine is within line of site. If it were me I would just buy .......
