I agree on that the Tannoys can harden up in those areas. I must admit that I have listened to some Golds in a Autograph horns and I did not notice it there. OTOH if you like the other aspects of what .......

I would suggest rebuilding them and then having a listen again. Also check your sources. The Tannoy might be revealing what other speakers haven't. I have a pair of the 15" drivers (lower cost version .......

Hi Freddy I spoke to a friend of mine today who actually owned a pair of these. He had the Midax midrange units as well, and used them both with a Goodmans bass driver. His comments weren't very favor .......

I would not just use any old EQ (if I had the choice). Like I said in my other post, 99% of tone-controls are the standard Baxandall (sp?) circuit which IMHO is WAY to crude for audio use. The better .......

Hi Haril AFAIK the NAD has a input in the back that you can connect a seperate pre-amp directly to the power output stage. This may help. If the pre is a good one, you can use it as the basis of futur .......

If your JBL 2800 speakers are say 90dB/W efficient, 100W will produce levels of +/-100dB. That's DAMN loud (in a livingroom type of situation). So, as long as your power amp produces clean power of 10 .......

No prob :-) I think the boxes were designed by Madisound, but they were commisioned by Alan Babb, and were specially designed for the new L6 driver. They are not something that you could buy off the s .......
