I posted this before and Dteve (Mercman) told me to try getting Vista off protected mode. That didn't help. I downloaded without any problem with an XP computer. The sound is REALLY good on the 2 high .......

Hi Steve, As with anything, YMMV. For whatever reason, gain, impedence speaker efficiency, sunspots, my system seems to prefer a solid state DAC rather than tubes. That may be a problem with the Empi .......

I have 2 terrabyte hard drives, one for back-up and one for archiving the songs. They are quiet and bulletproof. So far :). I agree, my time was worth more than the few bucks I'd save by going Costco, .......

Seems that the higher up I go on the food chain (read more bucks), the heavier the amps seem to get. Whether this is a function of power supply, capacitors, heavy guage metal for resonance control/aes .......

Accuphase says that their DG-28 can be interposed between the transport and DAC on the 75V. ASny body know if that means that the Sigtech or the Tact RCS can also be interposed? Thanks, David Shapiro .......
