I've found FedEx pricing is WAY better than UPS, for 90+% of shipments, but UPS claims are about 90% better/easier to deal with. Hope your package is found & delivered. .......

Had ONE instance today, where a package from NC to IL was about $7 cheaper $56.xx vs $63.xx for UPS, vs FedEx. Otherwise? I'm typically seeing at least a 20% savings with FedEx over UPS, and often 40% .......

I own a FedEx "Authorized Ship Center," and UPS "Authorized Shipping Outlet." So far? Have had ZERO delivery issues with either, on outbound, and in fact FedEx Home is arriving next day from NC to FL, .......

Have you tried taking that woofer out, and rotating it 180 degrees? If gravity has just caused it to shift, rotating it can often give you quite a few more years, before REAL work needs to be done... .......

In SOME systems, perhaps some form of passive attenuator might work well, or be the best answer, but? I've found that a very high quality active line stage works best, and? The preamp/line stage often .......

We have the old/early unit with the big cartridges. Found out that it is SUPER easy & really cheap to just refill them yourself, using dry ice. I pay about $5 for a big bag of dry ice chips/chunks/bri .......

I'll state that a pair of bridged Adcom GFA-555IIs were WAY more tight, dynamic, and "toe tapping" than a single unit - and they were quite happy into about a 3 Ohm load. Otherwise? With some early NA .......

The plastic plugs in the Nautilus and CDM series are easily filled with a non-drying putty or clay. This does 2 things: It helps keep them from coming loose again, and it goes a long way towards dampe .......

Me? I think the platform as one of the best rides out there. All I'd need are some analog gauges, but I guess they've gotten more "modern." My '97 Z3 actually has a tape deck! I'm fine with that. :) : .......

Looks like they've gone up to $263/night, but it doesn't depend on season - only paygrade. :) As an E5, it cost my friend about $80 when he stayed. Me? I was too cheap, and payed $0 to bunk on the sub .......

Might replace them one of these days, and DO need some phono stage tubes (mine is an MM version), but the 12AU7 and 12AT7 tubes in my particular unit don't have any apparent noise, and sound very musi .......

Back in the day, all the "bristly stuff" ended up in "Outside." Sure, some folks got pretty snarky, but it was a nice place to "vent," and if you DID sift through the garbage, there really WAS some go .......

Not sure where you got the 50 mm? The little Stuart had a 37 mm main gun, but don't know any US armor that fielded a 50 mm gun. The Germans had a couple, though... .......

In some of my systems, the added balance control of the LS3 was super helpful. I currently own my 2nd one (a balanced version). As you said - not what I'd call "tube like," but it certainly can do a b .......

Also don't like Bryston. Can't give you much other advice beyond this: I currently have a Parasound JC2. Also have a VTL Ultimate. Using the JC2 in my home system, where the speakers are B&W Matrix .......

Oddly? I USED to be hooked on Diet Pepsi. ALWAYS hated regular Pepsi, but LOVED diet Pepsi. Always hated diet Coke, but LOVE regular Coke. I don't do any diet products anymore - nutrasweet/aspartame d .......

Not sure how much they sell these days, but Spectral has been selling multi-kilobuck equipment housed it what are pretty much instrument cases with just a small bit of fancy aluminum around the front .......
