By using a splitter it alters the output impedence of the pre-amp when hooked up to the new loads. It should work with a Y-adapter, but ideally the same output load should be applied to both amplifier .......

This is the same component internally as the 4960. The Samsung has a moderate esthetic over the Toshiba. The capacitor mods make the unit an outstanding value, IMO, for well under $200. DaveT ::: TOPI .......

Changing the power cord will yield varying results. Based on my experience, rarely is it as simple as just increasing the guage. Do a search here for the Asylum Power Cord. This is a reasonably priced .......
