Agree for the TSMs but also for the VSMs. They have progressed in refinement with each iteration since the 1990s, but I'm still thrilled daily with my 2007 VSM-MXe's with Master Bam. .......

Hey Abe, I can agree with you on the treble not being quite as extended as it should be, and overall I do prefer my Neodio integrated to the BAT...but the BAT did have an even greater palpable quality .......

I checked and there was a new update (2.4.0) which was pretty extensive based on the number of fixes and upgrades. I timed the update and it took 3.5 minutes. .......

In my case, I purchased a slightly used model and the previous owner wiped all of the previous updates, so I had around the same number of updates as yours. I let it run overnight and the updates fini .......

The BluMe definitely sounds better using the digital out to a quality DAC, like my Bel Canto 2.5 - I stream Amazon Music through it and it is rock solid stable - never had any cutouts. It even sounded .......

Hi Troutbum, Sounds like you have the jumpers but not the Zobel network, so you did not purchase the complete TSM speaker product. Maybe check with the seller to find out why the Zobel wasn't include .......

Yes - if your speakers came with the Cardas binding posts, you need spades on the speaker cables. Connect the speaker cables first to the post coming off the speaker and then insert the Zobel network .......

These may be 4 ohm speakers - if your receiver is not rated to support a 4 ohm load, then that could be the issue .......

The Merlin TSMs have always stood above the competition to me. I've owned Trente's but much preferred the Merlins. Also consider the VSMs to be monitors as well - they don't take up any more floor spa .......

The defacto standard in your price range would seem to be the Outlaw RR2150 receiver. Its gotten great press and if you search the asylum you'll find tons of positive comments. Can be had 500.00 used .......

I owned one for a couple of months (purchased new) and though it didn't quite beat out my preamp/power amp combo, it was quite impressive. Class D so no heat worries. Not overly warm, but definitely .......

Mike - I don't own the current TSM-MXe model, but I do have the VSM-MXe floorstander and I can tell you that it is the antithesis of bright. Its the most relaxing, full-bodied and "well sorted" speake .......

I've owned a couple of 300X-SEs and never had the clicking problem, but I have had it with my Bel Canto SEP2 preamp. The problem was solved by inserting new tubes. Agree with previous poster though ab .......

I would definitely take the BAT 300X-SE integrated over either the Krell or Plinius. I believe there are at least a couple BATs on Audiogon currently for sale (used). I can only recommend the SE versi .......

I can vouch for the UDP-1. I've owned both the standard and "Deluxe" versions, and both have been above expectations. The Deluxe version is certainly better, but either will serve you well... ::: TOPI .......
