It seems like too many source components put out way too much voltage and too many amps are way too sensitive so you end up needing to keep the volume way down. This is true of my all Wyred set up usi .......

...I take it back, I was able to get the higher rez setting to take on the app but the music sped up 2-3 times regular speed. The Webplayer works fine and I'm satisfied w/ that. .......

...with me I noticed that when using Qobuz's app I was no longer getting any Hi Rez stuff. Not even upsampled. I checked all my settings in the app, my Mac Sound settings and the Midi settings and all .......

Yeah I am new to the whole streaming thing. You were correct I had not set up the interface correctly. Now it's working although it responds slower than the Web Player...sucks up more RAM maybe? My Ma .......

The problem concerning the HD aspect was that I was using Opera that for some reason was not showing that option. I switched to Chrome and the higher bit rate etc were all there. I did try the Qobuz .......

...using the Qobuz web player and my Mac midi player is set to 32 bit/ 384khz DSD output. My Wyred DAC says on its display that it's receiving 384k. But the web player itself always says it's sending .......

Thanks! I've heard good things about the NuWave. I have a MiniMax DAC w/ v3 & 4 Burson op amps and a Gold Point stepped attenuator that replaced the stock pot. I wonder how it would compare to it? ::: .......

For me it would be a DAC. My modded Minimax sounds quite good but I'm keeping an eye on these new ESS DAC chips (9028 & 9038). Two DACS have come out, the Gustard 20 Pro and the Matrix, that I linked .......

...there are also Dexa op amps. Depends on your desired sound. Primarily I heard the Dexas are clean and more neutral while the Bursons are more meaty and a bit warmer. That suited my tastes beter. Ne .......

Just downloaded the Mac version of JRiver and have discovered that it won't play music that's 32 bit. On their forum others have had the same problem and admin admitted they also had the same problem .......

I do not believe there is a fan. You can shut down services in the Activity Monitor but I can't be sure if they will be restarted if you turn the computer off then on again. That would be a good quest .......

I used Toast to burn a DVD of AIFF 24/96 stuff. Does Toast truly maintain the 24/96? The difference in sound is that the DVD is slightly better or slightly more extended than the 16/44.1 version comin .......

It would seem you are right. Hopefully, I'll be switching to a autoformer pre in the next couple of months. The volume control on that is much better than what I have. .......

I thought I had read that passive preamps based on transformers/autoformers are not as sensitive to the amps input impedance as resistor based units are. So what is the minimum? Say an amp has 26dbls .......
