I much prefer Access points, rather than antennas. Also, it was widely known that a Dongle may increase range, but lowered speeds. .......

You don't need the extra processing power of an Rpi 5 over a Rpi 4 to stream Music. And the Rpi 4 has 'All the Bugs' out of it. -- I don't own a 5 yet and can't think of a reason to get one. I've stil .......

I've never used a dongle..... WiFi on Rpi3 works just fine.... Should easily be good to 40 feet with a Wall or Two.... Here is one of mine. .......

The raspberry Pi is a computer. It's an SBC (Single Board Computer). And yes you have to load some streaming software. There are a few.... I use PiCorePlayer which is the most feature rich. It is Open .......

Never used the software to answer your question.... But my solution was to get rid of the PC altogether. Just get an inexpensive raspberry Pie and run some streaming software. No other processes runn .......

Qobuz looks the easiest and cheapest.... A friend of mine has a WiiM mini and no problems with Qobuz. It streams just fine. I tried Volumio and it was buggy, and like you said had to pay for an inter .......

In fact I still have the earliest Model of Rpi with 512 Meg of Memory and it runs PcP just fine. You can tell it's a bit slower queuing up a track of music, but once it starts playing it is flawless. .......

I replaced one tiny diode that was shorted and put electrical tape on a burned transformer wire. I put in a new quad of KT-88 tubes. The measurements all checked out good. The amp is sounding as good .......

Why don't you get a plate amplifier with a built in Crossover, and mount in your Subwoofer cabinet or build a separate Cabinet for it. And then design whatever crossover you want. And the amp as well. .......

is not as rigorously tested as PiCorePlayer as there are a lot more users for sure. And Squeeze Lite is much better integrated to LMS than the Bridge you are using. And it's definitely not clear to me .......

It seems like some sort of Network issue.... When you key the in IP:9000 it does tell you that it is loading the Web Page, but then 'Hangs'.... Do you have some sort of Security on your router that wo .......

You're sure the desktop is connected to the same network? And you know for sure the IP address that your RPi is connected to? Is LMS and Squeezelite running on the Same Rpi... OR do you have a differe .......

On PcP, you can certainly see what it is sending the DAC as far as 16/44.1, 24/96, 24/192, etc? And on my DAC (The Gustard X26 Pro) you can certainly see that it is receiving this Bit Rate. ::: TOPIC: .......

Marginal... I use both the Rpi 4 with USB out and I've compared it to the Allo Digione with Coax and I really cannot hear a difference (Unless I want to :-) .......

Yes, I believe that the Boss DAC will also work with the Rpi #4. If you use the Rpi model 4 as a player, you will be able to use the USB output and that will enable you to use DSD Audio..... Fun to Pl .......

Actually, you can still run LMS on a Synology NAS after the DSM 7.0 --- There is another App called Docker... I did it years ago, just to see if I could get it to work.. It was not that difficult and .......

I run my LMS Server on an Rpi #4 .... It also seems quicker, as in clicking for searches and selecting music etc. Maybe it's because LMS just sits in memory and it is always there and responds instant .......

If you are not changing a lot of the settings or library, you probably won't have an issue. But shutting down lms gradually is the preferred approach. .......

I have had them for about 10 years now..... Understand that you can use any Bass System that you want... I use a pair of Klipschorn Bass Bins. I use a pair of Hypex Amps with built in Active Crossover .......
