I tried the 6080 tube. All was good for about 6 months. As the sound lost it's umph, I retested. 4 had little output, the rest where below 60%. That was an expensive experiment. .......

Caveats; the mk111.3 upgrade has a very low noise floor. My 50 year old Lenco L75 spindle bearing was a definite source of noise. My oversized replacement came after the A-S, and it lowered everything .......

My understanding of 'in phase' series connections is thus; the +'ve lead from the amp (x-over) goes to the +'ve lead of the 1st driver (obviously), the -'ve lead from that first driver goes to the +'v .......

Frank, not to worry. I had a 6SN7 go bad, in the middle of some loud Pink Floyd. I lost 6 driver tubes in one shot. There also was a BzzztPOP at the end. I put in some new 6AS7G's, a new 6SN7, and con .......

I have both the M60 and MA1. I use 6SN7's in the M60, and 12SX7's in the MA1. If I get a tube tester, and it does the 6SN7's, will it automatically do the 12SX7's with a simple adjustment of the volta .......

My unit would not play certain SACD's. There was a crackling sound in the background. When I sent the unit in, they repaired a defective diode. All is now good. .......

I listen to my MA1's / Coincident Total Victory ll's at obseeeeene levels. Worst case scenario, a fuse blows, a 6AS7G goes, or even a 12sx7. The speakers are never damaged. .......

I now have a number of these different variations. One set of Sovteks doesn't have the flying =C=, one set does. The rest of the tubes all have the =C=. Obviously the one set of Sovteks with the =C= a .......
