So my brother has a McIntosh C32 with a 1/4 headphone jack. Headphones though are 3.5mm connection. In trying to utilize a 1/4 to 3.5mm adapter the signal breaks in-and-out. Wiggle it and signal comes .......

Upgrading to a Mk 2 or whatever they suggest doing might give you a much bigger improvement over just the tubes. ARC is not going to be cheap - but I would think they will do it the right way. Costs n .......

If you do the BiFrost, I would highly recommend getting the Multibit upgrade - which I have. If $599 plus shipping is too much of an issue, watch for B-Stock on Amazon or a used one. .......

For what it is worth, I utilized the 1/2 blocks with blue tac between each (almost impossible to get them to separated at a later date), with a 12 x12 (or was it 14 x 14) patio block with spikes inser .......

Upgraded the crossover with much better parts and internal wire. Don't recall the actual parts, it was like 8 yrs. ago. I used to also have 2 bricks (5.75 x 5.75 x 1.75) on top of each with a thin sti .......

I also had the NHT Super Zero's which I modified. Than the NHT Classic Three. And now Merlin TSM Black Magic series. All have been great at their price points. But I've run them all with tubes. ::: TO .......
