I have never heard a MM or MI with the same level of detail as a good MC, and that's not always a good thing. Too much detail can make poorly recorded albums impossible for me listen to. .......

Love my Steelhead. Don't know how anything can have more tweaker options. Running mine with a Teres 340, Schroder Model 1 with Allaerts MC1B MkII through a Mac MC2000. I have never heard any muddiness .......

Tried them. Even though it lists they carry it, they don't. They have tonearms with the wire, they have the rega wire, but don't sell the wire separate nor does their "rewire service" include doing a .......

You have to remember there are a couple folks here who trash the Teres at every chance. Why? Only they know. I have no problem with someone disliking any piece of gear, but the way these few folks lit .......

I use this. Not cheap, but might be an idea for you as a DIY. 2" solid maple with contrasting Cocobolo strips. The Cocobolo strip looks awesome with my Teres. Some day i need to take a pic with everyt .......

If I am not mistaken, you use that arc line to set the effective length. By setting the effective length you are also setting the correct overhang. Once the effective length is correct, overhang will .......

While I don't recognize the null points you listed, they don't match Baerwald or Stevenson For Baerwald null points are 66.0 and 120.9 mm For Loefgren null points are 70.3 and 116.6 mm For Stevenson n .......

I had the same problem with my MOdel 1. Frank set to set the arm at zero VTF so it floats, then turn it 2 1/2 turns for my particular cartridge. That setting made the arm race to it's resting point wh .......

In case you have misplaced the mounting template and wish to switch turntables you could always derive the proper spindle – mounting hole distance by adding 5mm to the spindle – vertical axis distance .......

The manual for the Model 1 does not list measurements. It says that the spindle to "vertical axis" measurement can be determined by adding 5mm to the number punched in the bottom of the base. I was us .......

Your platter could be level, but if there has ever been any damage to the mounting area, the whole tonearm may not be flush and level, not just the headshell. .......

Cost? The RB250 is a lower priced product. Cheap tweaks that make it a MUCH better arm is what I looked for when I upgraded mine. Your solution may be better, but on a cost/improvement ratio would it .......

According to Chris, the motor makes the table much more detailed, or more smooth dependant upon the torque selection. He said the difference is dramatic, and they have quite a backorder on the motors .......

All the above, effective length, overhang etc.....using a tape measure I can only get "close", but after going through all the motions my cart hangs way out front of the headshell, had to actually mov .......

does it totally cancel out the signal - for me it drops significantly when I hit mono, but it is still there but very quiet. .......

Tonearm level is a starting point, the cartridge angle is the true VTA .......

this one has an area that is blacked out that say VTA, has the strobes, has a line that looks like it is for overhang but is on the opposite side of the spindle....I think it is called Calibrator ::: .......

I have the same arm on a Clearaudio Solution, so the armboard is probably different, but on my solution, I also had to move the armboard away a little to get the measurments that OL recommends for the .......

I got my new Clearaudio Solution, OL RB 250 w/Grado Sonata all hooked up and now it's tweak time...... Midrange, escpecially voices are outstanding, but the lows are little muddy, highs a little thin. .......

My McIntosh (digital) does not pass to a sub when in analog bypass mode. Is your system a digital HT or a two channel analog? .......

W/the wood body, I am having a helluva time trying to get the alignment on my Grado Sonata correct. Any hints or suggestions? Tried aligning the cantilever but it's so hard to see under all that wood .......
