Your readings before, and after are fine. Reading millivolts can be tough on some meters, even contact pressure of the probes can upset the readings to the extent you are seeing. You don't have a prob .......

The Triode 25 has an input coupling cap before the first tube. HOWEVER, it does not have a coupling cap before the volume control. What will happen is you will put significant DC voltage on the volume .......

Check U1 and U2. Last time I saw one of these, both regulators were blown. Also as mentioned, check for bad solder joints, especially around the caps you replaced. How loud is the hum? Does it vary .......

Those aren't burnt resistors. Only the varnish has discolored. I've seen this before with Mystere and other Chinese amps. Those resistors are probably running close to their limit, get hot and discolo .......

The rectifier I've not seen other than the SP14 stock (3 examples), one had a Khozmo attenuator. That was a nice addition, but hardly a modification. Especially considering the crappy balance controls .......

All VTL amps bias to the same voltage value. It doesn't mean that the current flowing the tubes is the same across all their amps. It means they use a different value resistor to measure across. ::: .......

Those resistors are typical of ARC amps, and most likely the issue. But ARC doesn't always put them on the cathode. The usually have them on the plate, meaning high voltage. Make sure the power supply .......

You may have to have the amp looked at. Quite often in VAC amps, when a tube fails, a resistor or two will go along with it. That's not to say it has, but it does happen. .......

That resistor is in series with the ultra-linear transformer taps, not on the anode. Most Rogue amps I've seen have fused cathodes to protect them. .......

That bias setting is for both tubes. So you are 80mA each (assuming matched tubes). Plate to cathode voltage is around 400V, but I have seen it higher than that so you should stay around Cary's recomm .......

That's a 1 ohm 5% resistor. Looks like a carbon comp. Replace with a good 3 watt metal film. Since these amps measure the bias across those, they should be tight tolerance. FYI - really common problem .......

Being a kit, check for bad solder joints. It could also be a bad socket, a leaky coupling cap, bad grid resistor, or a bad cathode bypass cap. Any of those will cause red plating. You need to get out .......

You're correct. It is not a good idea. Power transistors don't wear out. They will also need to be matched so they properly share current. Changing them may actually shorten the amps life. Not a good .......

Error correction. The opamp monitors the output and adjusts the voltage. Since it is operating at DC, changing it out will do nothing. It also has a low impedance input so noise isn't an issue either. .......

The SLI-80 does not have record outputs. All you have to do is look at tbe back. You could try using the subwoofer output, but it gets adjusted by the volume control. Ideally you want a volume bypasse .......

I think Philips just tried to advance things too fast without proper testing. Then when things turned sour they would just abandon the item and move on. When they were good though, they were very good .......

I never did find out exactly what on the those drives failed. I do know it was part of the servo board, possibly the tracking or focus servo. Usually when they failed you got nothing but flashing bars .......

At the very least a shielded power cord, but good filtration is also important. Class D amps spew so much high frequency noise down the power line that you need something to help combat that before it .......

You're not going to see any difference in the waveform after the diodes with/without the snubber. The snubber is supposed to RF out of the transformer. Basically an AC filter not DC where you are test .......

It is because you have the snubber in the wrong location. The snubber's go on the secondary of the transformer before the rectifier. Irregardless, that's a pretty crappy waveform coming out of the rec .......

Theoretically that cap should never see more than 200V (100V most likely), however I don't know that I'd go 200V just give a margin of safety. 250V would be ok, 400V would be better, but a 630V is def .......

Cary may tell you it's okay, because most of the ratings are higher in the 5R4. However the 5R4 is very intolerant of capacitance directly after the rectifier. Capacitance is way too high in the SLI-8 .......

That is definitely an MSB LinkDAC III with the analog stage bypassed. Melos even put the factory Link power supply inside the DAC chassis. Box 1 is the DAC, box two is the analog stage. .......

Check the bias when you change either the power tubes or the rectifier tubes. A new rectifier may make the high voltage change (higher) especially if you originally biased with weak rectifiers. Unplug .......
