The cantilever is supposed to be straight. Sure, there are some tolerances but they should not be clearly visible. I have seen many cartridges by many manufacturers, dozens of Denons, and only an AT 0 .......

I am not familiar with your phono stage, but 47k is much to high for a low output MC like the Sigma. Try loading it with 1kohm or even lower. I run mine with 220 ohm and it sounds great. .......

You cannot ship a Technics SP-10 with the platter installed! The high mass of the platter will damage the bearing during transport. That is what I had learned by reading the archives and that is what .......

I would suggest an Uher Report 4400, assuming the tapes are 4 track (probably). The Uher offers 4 speeds and you might need the two slowest for these tapes. Bigger decks usually do not support the slo .......

The HFC info is definitely wrong! The 714/731 arms are lighter than the 704/721 arms. And 15 and 17 grams would put them in the high mass category suitable for a Denon DL-103. Good luck finding a 731 .......

The 731 and the 714 share the same tonearm, right? According to the Dual data sheet the 714 has a ULM tonearm (!), and it is definitely not the same arm as the one on the 704/721. The 704/721 arm tube .......

I don't remember ever having seen any numbers published. The Dual arms were always low mass, the later models even "ultra low mass". Dual paired the 701, 704, 721 arms with high compliance cartridges .......

I played quite a lot with the different loads offered (47, 100, 220, 1k, 47k) on the Rosette 2 and I now load my Denon DL-103 with 220 ohm. Its a nice compromise. Forget 47 ohms. The soundstage is nar .......

I had a PS-X65 and it muted the signal when the arm was moved by the automatic. Only when the needle was on the record the relay was opened. Could be that your turntable stays muted because of corrode .......

Two weeks ago I ordered an AT OC9 from LP Gear and received it a few days later. The container was not sealed, the cantilever bent. I sent an email and asked for an unopened, new cartridge or a refund .......

the conical stylus is pretty much immune to small variations in VTA out of parallel. I cannot hear a real sweet spot with either parallel, slightly lower or higher pivot compared to carts with "sharpe .......

I just "wallpapered" my home office with Expedit. It looks great, is extremely sturdy and fits my record collection like a glove. I can only recommend it. You won't find anything better for your money .......

The flickering of the strobe lamp is an old 704 disease. Mine did that too. But it does not have any effect on the speed stability. The 704 does NOT have auto-return! It just lifts the arm off the rec .......
