There used to be a guy named Ryan who did it for Sound Plus when they were the Maggie dealers in Vancouver. I think Sight and Sound on Seymour carries Maggies now so I would contact them. .......

Hi Kenster, Am finally getting around to a tweeter upgrade on my Nola viper 2A's and looking at the raal ribbon or the alnico tweeter from Nola. Any opinions on what i should do? Thanks Scott ::: TOPI .......

There is a store on north side of Hastings St. in burnaby called Mountain Gems (if I remember correctly).They have lots of crystals at reasonable prices. .......

Nola's have same dipole radiation pattern as planars in the midrange and tweeters. They sound as big, natural and open as the Maggies. .......

Yeah thx ! I check this forum once in awhile but am pretty happy with my system and once the speakers are placed there isn't much tweaking to do ! Totally agree with almost everything Brad says or rec .......

Hey Nick, Yeah the ribbons were wider but not as long . The KR amp and Nola's were made for each other .The midrange is stunningly sweet. The bass is great and surprising from the amp . I will be upgr .......

Have had improvements in same areas especially micro dynamics which you may be describing as presence. I am using the large 6V batteries...one on each negative binding post of my amp,one grounded to m .......

There are clear improvements in immediacy ,dynamics -especially micro dynamics,resolution and soundstage depth. I plan to add a couple more in my system connected to my tube preamp and tube Dac to see .......

Good for u Sailor! Doesn t matter how we get there as long as we do! The Nola's were the only speaker that I have heard that makes me as happy as the Maggies did. .......

I hear you on the best part of the maggie design is their true ribbon but the bass panels are extremely good too! I am going to try these ones out with my Nola vipers and see how they sound.It would b .......

How low do the tweeters go in your system ? On my 2.6's they went down to about 800 hz and so the midrange was just magic! .......

Have replaced my 2.6/R with Nola Viper IIA's and was surprised that they are as good in the soundstage and imaging abilities and much easier to drive. They are open baffle dipole design in the mids an .......

Got mine yesterday.Improvements in soundstage depth, bass weight AND dynamic contrasts are easily heard. Images are more rounded and separated. My already musical system sounds even more so ! Not so w .......

Hi Bob, I have had Maggies before my current Nolas for more than 15 years and am a huge fan. I bought a condo than required me to downsize my speaker footprint and was lucky enough to replace my forme .......

Ken , Ask my friend "benie" he knows alot about chokes.The application where they made such a big improvement in my system was inserting them in the plate part of the circuit not the filament part of .......

Yes but have you heard the 2.6? Had a pair for 10 years...as good as my Nola vipers which sell for $6000. Actually one of the best speakers I have heard in my 30 years in this hobby. Imaging was not v .......

When you say "there is also something about the way the notes are reproduced with the Alon ..." what exactly do mean ? Are you saying the Alon's produce the notes in a way that you prefer over the vip .......

From a design aesthetic IMO they elevate the speaker to another class. For me if the speaker looks this beautiful it adds to the enjoyment of listening because I am a visually stimulated person and wh .......
