What about the headshell leads? A loose connection to the cartridge would cause this. Try swapping L and R into pre-amp If the issue switches from the left channel to the right channel then the issue .......

Are we talking new or used Rega? If you are the tweaker type, a used Rega P2/ Planar 2 (old type with with the RB250) is a better path, because you can rebuild/ replace every part of the turntable fro .......

Hi there, I would recommend to remove the grommets and rigidly attach the SME tonearm to the Denon plinth. According to the old SME 3009 manual, the screws should only partially compress the grommets .......

You are using the integrated tonearm on the Technics SL-1200. This has the ground connected to one of the outer shields of the signal cables - right? Could be that de-coupling the ground from the sign .......

No, that will not work. You need to measure the distance from spindle to the centre of the arm hole. That will give you the mounting distance. Then you can figure out what tonearm effective length is .......

The headshell and locking collar should be able to rotate about the axis of the arm tube. This is exactly the same as the SME 30xx series. It is just friction that holds the assembly in the tonearm tu .......

Yes, this is a great loss to vinyl. The Jelco brand was so under-rated; on the rare occasions that their tonearms were reviewed, they generally did surprisingly well against much more expensive models .......
