The output stages are totally different from the SA250mkIV. Other parts are quite close. But I agree, it is another amplifier. (I have owned both. Actually : I still own the sa-ref and plan to keep it .......

Hi ! I have not compared the 2 amplifiers you mention but I have compared higher end models from Plinius and Classe and I find the Plinius much more refined. The 9200 is a great amplifier. Best regard .......

Nagra is not ARC : they don't revise their products every 2 years (every new one being claimed to be 100 times better than the old one...) for marketing purposes. All audiophile Nagra products launche .......

Hi, I don't think Audioquest IC are the best on Earth (I prefer Siltech that I use between the CDP and the preamp and for the power cord). But I am satisfied with my Audioquest. They sound good enough .......

Thanks ! In fact I have 2 new babies : the SA-REF and the "real" one (my son) and I have to protect one from the other ! I want to protect my son because the SA-REF is hot (in class A) and very tough .......

Hi ! Yes, the M8 preamp works very well with the SA-REF ! It's very accurate and very refined. Sorry, I have not tried the SA-REF with many speakers ...:-) I think the SA250mkIV is still a wonderful a .......

I agree with you, the 102 is a great amplifier (as the 201 is) ! I sold the 250/IV. It was still working perfectly (Plinius gears are built like tanks and designed to offer a lifetime of musical pleau .......

Both are high quality french gears. The Lavardin is more on the warm (tube like if you want) side whereas the YBA is a bit on the dry side. IMHO both are good buys. Regards. .......

I have used the CD-LAD and the M8 preamps and I have never had any problem with the remote. In fact I have never had any problem at all with Plinius amps. Best regards. .......

It is more than 300 WpC in a 4 Ohms load. This is what the manufacturer says but reviewers usualy find higher power with Plinius amps. IMHO it can drive even the more insensitive speakers. Best regard .......

I have been using different ones. All of them had a very refined sound. But not really on the warm side, just "neutral" I think. This said, I still prefer the vinyl sound through the Plinius Jarrah ph .......

I have checked in the M8 instructions, the output impedance is not 1k as written on the Plinius web site but 100 Ohms which is very low and very good ! It will match well any amp on Earth with perfect .......

Class A has, by definition, a very low efficiency. If you want 250 WpC in Class A, you *must* have a power consumption ~ 2000W. And those Watts *must* be converted into heat. This is physics ! On the .......

On my side, I have replaced some more expensive preamps by a Plinius CD-LAD ! I tried some from YBA, ARC, Cary. The Plinius CD-LAD is really extremely neutral and transparent. Just not expensive enoug .......

To me 801 are among the best speaker on Earth. The reason why they are not often compared with JM LAB "grand utopia", JBL "9800K2", etc. is simply that they are not expensive enough ! But professionna .......

Dear friends, Let me tell you that this TT (Denon DP900M), reasonably priced ( a bit less than 1000 Euros in Europe ) is a great bargain. I find it far better than any Rega or Pro-ject in this price r .......
