It could be static build up. Or, check the ground from the tt to the amp. When that happened to me, it was related to the ground, if memory serves correctly. Life in the digital world is a drag. Good .......

One is a phono pre-amp (Seduction); one is just a pre-amp (Foreplay). No doubt there is (dare I say it) "synergy" using Bottlehead gear from end to end, but it is neither a necessity nor a requirement .......

I have a new V15 now, mounted on a Dual 704. Previously I had a Grado Platinum Reference - the Shure is MUCH MUCH quieter in terms of surface noise IMO. The Grado was better on detail, but it also pic .......

My experience with magnet wire is using it for hookup wire in my Bottlehead gear - a heavier gauge though. The varnish is not conductive, although it can be scratched off as it is not really very thic .......

It appears you do not want to use your NAD phono pre, so maybe consider buying the Foreplay and using a Little Rat for your phono stage until you can afford the Seduction. This is what I'm planning to .......

Depending on the quality of your sound system, vinyl just sounds better than CD. As your system gets better this difference generally becomes more noticeable. And I agree totally with the comment on r .......
