I agree that it's a matter of taste and tradeoffs. To me and some others, however, phase coherence ranks higher on the list, and the benefits are worth the tradeoffs necessary to implement phase coher .......

Absolute phase is a different issue than relative phase between speaker drivers, especially around midrange frequencies... I don't know if I can hear absolute phase! But I'll check it out. I posted in .......

If you look at their frequency response graphs, they're pretty well behaved overall with a little more in the bottom end ("warm"), but they have a peak around 10 kHz that can rip your ears off on cert .......

I have a 12" Sonotube subwoofer (SVS) which has a port tuned to 16 Hz and can make some amazing low bass, but after experimenting I found that I preferred its sound with the port plugged (i.e. sealed) .......

I managed to short out my GFA-555 yesterday; opened up the amp (against their warnings) and discovered that one of the fuses inside was completely smoked. There's one on each of the circuit boards ins .......

Yep, active crossover (Marchand XM-9) at 60 Hz with the damping set a little less than -1 dB, so it's probably 4-5 dB down at 60 Hz with a 4th-order crossover. The SVS integrates very well with this a .......

Although we run into the same problems - somehow I doubt that the 2nd order 1 kHz crossover between the Scanspeak woofers and the ribbon tweeter sounds too nice when you're sitting only a couple feet .......
