The idea of keeping the LP outside the cover was to reduce wear on the cover, preserving the art better. I suppose that's important if you are looking to maximize grading of the LP covers for selling .......

The reality is, no soloist can play music that the orchestra cannot accompany. The orchestra must have the orchestral parts. So the soloist cannot choose to play just anything he/she wants. The solois .......

I doubt that she picks any obscure pieces, sticking to the warhorse concertos. The problem is, most orchestras do not have the music for lesser known composers or lesser played works in their library .......
