Ken, The REL subs are setup to work exactly as you described: for stereo use you run speaker-level signals from the amp to the sub which are then electronically summed. The amp also connects directly .......

Congratulations on your SM-1 purchase. They're amazing speakers. Mine do double duty as a stereo/home theater system. They're paired with a REL Strata III subwoofer which integrates beautifully with t .......

AudioNewbie, I have a Denon AVR4800 also and I'm running 11' bi-wired CAT5 cables to my Dunlavy SM-1s. They work great -- no complaints from the receiver that I can tell. I'm using 16 pairs for the wo .......

Vanman, I used 3/16" polypro rope, mainly because I had it. It was a bit smaller than optimal though. If you're buying the rope I'd recommend the next biggest size. I used 1/2" braided copper shield w .......

I built mine using braided polypropylene rope that I bought at Home Depot. I expanded the rope like a Chinese finger puzzle then ran the twisted pair of coaxes through the middle of it. This resulted .......

Jon, I recently built a pair of your 89259/89248 twisted pair interconnects. They sound great! I had great difficulty using the teflon tape to space off the shield so I tried something else. Quite a w .......

I built a bi-wired cable for my SM-1s using the Chris VH CAT 5 recipe(16 pairs for the woofers, 9 pairs for the tweeters). I tried an unscientific test consisting of using the bi-wire cable with and w .......

I apologize for the confusion. I haven't done analog for a while and I'm down with the flu. Steve's explanation of how to calculate the values is of course correct. When you build your cable, you shou .......

I made a boo-boo. The "472" parts are 470 ohm resistors. Change them to 330 ohms for three inputs. Since I've had a long day, however, you should probably measure the resistance of the orignal parts. .......

The components marked "104" are 10K ohm resistors (1.0 x 10^4). The parts marked "472" are 4700 ohm resistors (4.7 x 10^2). Note that the total value of the two resistors in series with the inputs is .......
