I intended to tell you to wire the cap on one lead of the diode and the resistor to the other, then connect in series the cap and resistor. I also would like to sujest using the Harris Hyper Fast Reco .......

I use .47uf panasonic stacked film interference caps and a 100 ohm resister with great results. QUIETS EVERYTHING DOWN. I got this from a pooge article in audio amature. I like what it does for me. .......

I use blackgates & nichicon muse caps and I absolutely love them. I believe it one of the improvements one can do to electronics. As for resistors I use dale a division of vishay the cadillac of resis .......
