I prefer them naked with the black frame exposed with the rails attached. Very industrial, and dare I say sexy, look. Nothing like staring at those glorious ribbon tweeters! .......

I'm pretty much in the same boat as you. I picked up a pair or IIIa's in excellent condition off of Craigslist. I just need to fix some slight delamination problems on both speakers. They're just a ha .......

Well the amp is 250wpc into 8 ohms and 400 into 4 ohms, so I'm there... barely. And who said I was going to trade? I have no wife to complain to me about having a third pair of speakers, haha. ::: TOP .......

I already have a pair of SMGas and IIIas. Is there any reason I would want to buy a pair of 2.5Rs, aside from simply having more pretty Magnepans? .......

Would it be a good idea to isolate the tweeter assembly from the mdf frame by putting in a little putty between the assembly and the frame to help decouple it from the bass panel's vibrations? I used .......

One of them is a little bunched up at the bottom. Is this sagging natural, or has something unspeakable happened to my new babies? I picked them up for only $360.00, but I don't remember seeing this b .......
