DH Labs D-750 is what I used when I had the Audiolab 6000CDT. The D-750 in my opinion is much more open, resolving, and has more slam than others I have used, Belden, Canare, etc. The DH Labs won't br .......

I use a Simaudio Moon Supernova as a transport into a Moon 680D DAC. Like mtbikeNH I often use the built in MIND for playing CD's that I have ripped to my NAS. Sometimes I get a new CD and haven't .......

I don't think it matters as much as to which one you use as long as you find the right cable with the right synergy. My 2 best digital cables are my DH Labs D-750 75 ohm coax with RCA ends and my DH .......

Well the easiest solution was a set of the older OEM Moon pointed cones and thanks to a user on USAM in Canada, I now have a set residing happily under me DAC now. .......

They do indeed sound fine. I have most of my music ripped, but I still enjoy taking the silver discs out for a spin too, they have a bit of a different perspective on the sound when played through .......

Thanks Mossback, I do believe that fuses make a difference. I was just wanting to make sure a move to the Purple over my stock fuse didn't make anything sound overly detailed, artificial, shrill, etc. .......

If you are an Apple guy I am fairly sure you can configure an old Airport Express to do that with Airplay. The digital portion of the Express base station's audio port takes a 3.5 mm optical digital .......

I have the no longer available PI2AES hat and while it is great, it is also a bit hard with some glare. I am using an iFi Power X on the board and Micheal Kellys recommended Meanwell 24V PS on the hat .......

Oscar, It seems as though the rhodium is close to the silver sound, perhaps a bit smoother and a tad more full. Definitely more like silver than gold and since swapping ends is time consuming a close .......

My DAC's (Schiit) don't support playing a DSD file, so I convert them to PCM. I have less then 20 SACD's compared to hundreds or standard redbook CD's, so it wasn't a concern to buy a DAC to play the .......

I am using the iFi iPower X, it comes with the adapter for USB-C, right now I am using the micro USB as I have my rpi3 B board in my streamer at the moment. the ipower X version comes with both adapte .......

Yes you can. I did this with my Oppo 103 I ripped the SACD to 24 bit 88.2 kHz PCM. After you get the hang of it, it went fairly smoothly. .......

While I haven't used the Canakit my own experience is that the PS does make a difference. I tried the official pi 4 PS and it was etchy and grainy. The Allo 5V PS is much better, smoother and less gra .......

Yes, if the jumper is in place you can power the whole thing from the 24V. I just swapped the Allo 5V powering my board only for the ifi iPower X. A very little difference, slightly smoother, less gra .......

Ivan I have found the Meanwell 24v ps to be a pretty decent unit. For me the soundstage opened up even further by removing the jumper and powering the pi board itself with my Allo smps and the Meanwel .......

Since I could not hit studs in the location I wanted the stand to go I mounted a 1" x 8" board across 3 studs, even took the time to paint it to match the wall :) The board is mounted using 6 screw .......

The digital coaxial output will only work for redbook CD's, SACD's will not output a digital signal from your Denon. SACD will only output a sginal from your analog out. .......

I too have used dbpoweramp to rip HDCD CD's to 24 bit flac files. Seems to work, but I haven't compared them to the same disc ripped without HDCD to just 16 bit. .......

RF should go through wood, but perforations won't hurt. I would intstall with perforated doors and then add repeaters after only if IR isn't reaching. .......

I believe the panels you show would allow enough light to pass for IR. If not as suggested an IR repeater kit, many to choose from. Also many newer cable boxes are RF. .......

I have moOde loaded and running now also. Sounds different than Volumio as in it is more detailed and crisp, Volumio was warmer and softer to my ears. So far I like it but I do prefer Volumio's interf .......

Congrats on the upgrade. I have a Plinius 8200 MKII and it is one of the best amps I have owned. I too came from separates and had my doubts about an integrated, but this amp has been superb for me. R .......

I had the same issue and after recently tinting the windows on my old work truck I had an idea, light bulb over the head! I took a small piece of tint (only 50% light pass was plenty) and taped .......

If you still have CD's you can rip them yourself and put them on the Walkman. I ripped all my CD's using dbpoweramp for my music server and when I got my Fiio X3 I then just copied them on to a micro .......

I did this on my subwoofer cable. I had Eichmann Bullet plugs on each end, but at the sub the cable kept getting stepped on when I went behind it to the equipment. I changed out the sub end with sturd .......

Could be your DAC, do you know how many mv it puts out at the RCA? My DAC's have all been around 2mv and the level is the same whether SPDIF RCA, BNC, or from other sources on Toslink. .......

Correct, I am using an Oppo 103 to rip with iso2dsd. I am then using dBpoweramp to convert to 24/88 uncompressed flac. I can even play the DSF or the flac directly from my rpi with Volumio, Volumio co .......

Everything should fit fine. I made Flavor 4 which has twice the conductors and they fit in the FI-28, a very similar plug. .......

I haven't heard the SA8003 but I do own the SA8005. The 8005 had some upgraded parts, I think in the output. The SA8005 is also made in Japan, I heard in the same factory as the reference line. I used .......

My experience was the same as I found Volumio to sound better than PiCore Player too. PiCore seemed not only thinner but also veiled. I plugged me SD card back in with Volumio and it was a big differe .......

I don't think it is on the software as I said it doesn't happen with 2 of my DAC's. Also some folks have had the issue with Roon, and Spotify as well. Seems to be dependent on the DAC and a muting rel .......

I do think the Belden is a bit raw and open, but to be honest it is one quality I like. Instruments sound real to me, brass sounds real, not tinny or thin. Throw on some AC/DC and Brian Johnson's voic .......

Well I have the Eichmanns on there now, but where the sub is the cables have gotten stepped on over the years every time I need to get to equipment or cables, they have some wear now. Crimped or compr .......

I know the Canare RCAP RCA isn't very highly regarded for its sound quality in analog RCA cables, but how about for a sub cable? .......

Well I ended up going with a Furutech GTX-D (G) instead of another R0. I use the Furutech for my amp, and the Oyaide for my front end. Works well. The GTX-D (G) seems to balance well with the new powe .......
