I did not like the M300 either due to poor bass perframance, making them sound thin and somewhat bright IMO. However, the Bel Canto Ref1000 are in a different league, with some of the best defined bas .......

Keep in mind that the EVO's have a very low gain of 23db under "normal" use, but has a more typical gain of 29db when bridged. This may or may not be important to you, depending on your pre-amp's gain .......

Like many CDPs, DACs, Receivers, my sound card states it has a 24/96 DACs. It does not explicitly state that it does upsampling on its own. Thought my guess is that it can be fed a native 24/96 signal .......

That is the address of Magnum Dynalab, who used to be the Micromega importer years ago. DIMEXS in Montreal then was the importer, but they told me a few months ago that Micromega had completely pulled .......
