JAS Orior speakers use Accuton bass and a twin ribbon tweeter. Amazing monitors in my book. I've had several dozen speakers in my time and these are up there with some elite company in the imaging an .......

Wharfedale Diamond 225 are well under budget, slot loaded around base avoiding rear vent issues with close placement to walls. Once broken in I found them very well balanced with excellent tonal balan .......

Well that eliminates the jumpers....lol I'd pull the upper woofer out, move stuffing for a clear view and look at the crossover coils and wiring off the networks. Not sure how big the coils are in you .......

I run my 1Ci with a 15wpc 6V6 push pull amp with great success. They are in a 19 x 13 x 8 room with an opening to 16 x 13 x 8 dining room so there's a lot of square footage. I do not play music loudly .......

I just picked up a Pure i20 from amazon for 92.00 and I actually love this little gizmo. Docking station that charges, has built in dac with analog outs, coax and optic digital outs and a little remot .......

Two thoughts on that AVR It has dialogue adjustments that are "off" by default..........check that out. You can turn it "on" and make +\- 12 adjustments I believe. It also sets center channel speaker .......

As mjcmt said,traditional biwire is speaker wire with two terminations at the amp and four terminations at the speaker. They can either be all inside one cable housing 4 separated conductors, two runs .......

That is single wiring your speakers , bypassing the factory jumper with the speaker wire. It's better than using the cruddy jumper plates that come with most speakers. I'd make sure that those wires b .......

VH Is a good read and lots of choices. I selected materials needed to do two 6' PCs without plugs, since I already have them, and came in pretty close to my target budget. They're on my short list now .......

If the 3.3 are anything like the 3.6r the woofer crossover is 200hz. Bypassing that part of the 3way x-over you would then pass that range on to the Velodyne. The DD-15 is spec'd at 15 Hz to 120 Hz +/ .......

As far twist goes, 1/4 to 1/2 turn over 1.5 meter will work. Mine is a 1.5m and has almost a 1/2 twist to make it from amp to outlet. It took some time playing around with start/finish positioning .......

Check out the Jungson JA-88C. I have and completely enjoy the Jungson JA-88D Luxury Edition driving 1.6QR in a room about the same size as yours. Never at high volume. The 88D is an 80 wpc class-A int .......
