You already have a great setup. Add a SOTA clamp and if funds allow get a speed controller. Finding a used Star Sapphire in good condition is not easy - most will need some work. The only possible tab .......

I ran these models for several years on Klipschorns. Realized there is much, much better sound out there for a lot less money. Unless you are having a love affair with McIntosh you are better off sell .......

Bad analogy here. The Dual 1219 is a superb table and will hold its own against many of the big name tables - judge by your own ears not by what you read. 1970s American sedans were probably the worst .......

No need to spend mega bucks on separates - looks for vintage receivers from 70s and 80s (yes, there are excellent receivers in the 80s). Denon can be trash at times - agreed. .......

I owned a pair of the 420dx speakers - dont be fooled by the price or ubid. these are the real deal. I mated a REL Strata sub with it. Be sure you have proper amplification. A sub is essential. ::: TO .......

My first exposure to planar speakers was around 1976. My friend's mother had an all McIntosh system with very tall planar speakers. One time I looked at the rear of the speakers and saw 'Time Windows' .......

I own the VPI HR-X table which incorporates the outer ring. You must make sure the ebay outer ring automatically centers over the LP. This is rather important and a failure of other outer rings. The r .......

The SDS eliminates the micro-speed variations in the motor by providing a constant voltage. The PLC does not do this. You would not believe the difference this makes in LP playback - very noticeable u .......

Having owned both an SDS and PLC, I could honestly say don't waste your time with a PLC. If you must get a PLC, get an EARLY model PLC as there were the most dependable. I would simply hold off until .......
