I have an approximately 4 year old Philips 30" HD CRT TV. It was their top-of-the-line model and consumer reports' top-rated model by a wide margin back then (in case that rings any bells for anyone). .......

As far as monitors I would say the Genelec 8000 series are probably the best period -- ruler flat fr, uniform dispersion between tweeter and woof, high phase coherence, no noding, etc -- the standard .......

I found articles about the 41Hz unit, Autocostruire 2020, and DIY Paradise Charlize. These are all amp kits without cases/enclosures, input and output jacks, or preamp function. At least I think they .......

Those NSMs do look very nice. I wish the subwoofer was available in white to but it appears that it isn't. I'm still going to look for active monitors because I really dont like idea of having big hif .......

Yes I saw those but I felt quite certain that there is no way four 1" drivers per speaker could possibly produce full midrange. They do look great and I'm sure they sound way better than most computer .......

Unless you have engine off the stereo is running off alternator, not battery. If it is running on battery while engine is on then your alternator is inadequate and the battery light will be shining on .......

I can't stand the turbo lag. Yes, I've driven one. Only other car I've driven with such unbearable lag was a Volvo C70, and that was an automatic. The engine is the worst possible design for turbo lag .......

Of course eqing to make a room flat sounds bad -- the recording wasn't intended to be played in a flattened room. Flat coming out of the speakers is different from unnaturally adjusted to flat at the .......

AR makes a line called HO which may be what you are looking for. I seem to recall a couple reviews of some HO speakers being quite positive. Anyhow, the basic idea behind them is to maximum efficiency .......
