I have a Grado Sonata cartridrige in a Linn Itoch arm on a Linn Sondeck table. I had this in the past...and now it's back....the grado wobble. On certain records the cartrige will wobble in the grove .......

Eric: I am aware of the Grado wobble. In my particular case the woofer oscillation is not from the infamous wobble but from the low-end energy produced by the lead-in groove. Tracking is certainly not .......

In the same shipment as my second-pressing copy of Columbia Masterworks ML 4001, I also received a first-pressing copy of ML 4053 that absolutely made my current Grado Red cartridge wobble throughout .......

I bet you have a Grado! There is something unique about Grado's suspension that makes the "Grado dance" or "Grado Wobble" a relatively common phenomenom. Do a search in the archives for more info. Try .......

Try an AT120E/T, they work very well on linn stuff, I personally don't think the bearings etc are good enough on the Basik Plus to make the most of a fine line stylus. My dad uses this arm and has had .......

The Grados are the best I have heard (mine is the 78c) and I also own a Stanton 500. The Stanton is good, but the Grado beats it. FWIW, I have not heard the Shure but I don't see how it can track prop .......
