I used to drive a pair of Lsi15's with a NAD c370, and the amp had no difficulty at all with the load. I would think the c352 would do a similar job with the Lsi9's. Not a concern, in my opinion. ::: .......

The LSi9 are much more balanced than the LSi7. If you can handle the bigger enclosure I would spend the extra $150-$200 and get the LSi9. As compared with the Concertino - never heard them. ::: TOPIC .......

I am very sensitive to speakers that emphasize the upper mids and treble. It always limits my choice of products. You should definitely consider the LSi9 from Polk's audiophile line. Smooth and detail .......

I heard the Lsi7 and bought the Lsi9. The difference was dramatic. The LSi9(2.5 way) were simply more dynamic and fuller than the smaller Lsi7 (2 way). Unfortunately I have not heard the Studio 40. :: .......

Polk has been around since the mid 70's and I have owned 4 diffrent pairs of their speakers over the years. The LSi9 has gotten very favorable reviews in a couple of magazines and is similar to the LS .......

The nOrh 9.0 are detailed and a step up for tonal balance. The nOrh 9.0 were a little more muddy in the midrange mostly due to the lower extension (the ACI 65hz HP filter cleaned it up). The Lsi9 jus .......

I've not seen the black models but I find the cherry ones to be quite attractive. The panels are real wood and go a long way, I'm sure, to adding strenth to an already extremly inert cabinet. ::: TOPI .......

I have L15s driven with a C350, the 60 Watt per channel predecessor to the C352, and I never turn the amp up past 10 or 11 o'clock. The C352 should be fine. .......

I'm making a change. Need a pair of bookshelf speakers for the HT. Max is $800. Got a sub. Typical stereo speakers are out, I've been living with that compromise for a long time,and I'm tired of it. .......

I've been looking for a step up in my speakers and I REALLY LIKE THESE 3 MODELS. They are also ones I can get at local shops. The st4s sound great but the hi gloss finish is a little too fancy for me .......

looks like the crossover in those speakers is a 2.5 way design. meaning that one of the "midrange" drivers only sees lower frequencies. Try playing some music that has substantial low bass and see if .......

I don't understand why speaker stand manufacturers can't use larger top plates. The Target MR28 is Target's top of the line stuff. Apparently their lower line, the HR70, has a larger top plate, 6"x8.5 .......

The Polks LSi series are a 4 ohm speaker, been doing alot of research myself on getting the best bookshelf speaker for under $1000. I agree Polk's LSi 9 and 7s are incredible but I also have a Yamaha .......

At the time of purchase, I was considering both the Target HR70 and the MR28. As to the difference between the HR70 and the MR28. Both are the same height, 28". The top and bottom plates on the HR70 a .......

The top plate is 6"x6", the bottom plate is 9"x10". The speaker is 8"x15". The stands are very heavy, about 35lbs each, unfilled. But the speakers are heavy as well, about 32lbs each. With the speaker .......

I spoke with Polk's customer service. They told me that any stands over 26" in height would do. They didn't specify if the stands be high mass or low mass. My LSi9's are 8"x15". That's large for books .......

Given your criteria, you might want to look at the Monitor Audio Bronze B2. IMO they're a great value that would pair well with the NAD or Marantz gear you're mentioning. I was using a NAD C350/C521i .......

I spent a good amount of time auditioning the LSi9s before purchasing the floorstanding LSi25s. The LSi line was designed specifically for audiophiles and is a significant step above Polk's other mode .......

Well all I can say is don't trust the reviews you read to help out. The B&W has been described as the second coming - of lack of bass and lack of dnamics a constrained mid band no authority and polite .......
