I have never heard the PSB Alpha 1B and have never commented on it. I own both the Primus 360 and PSB Image 1B and listen to both of them daily. .......

I have compared MA BR2 with PSB Alpha.Its not fair because the former is a bigger and more expensive speaker and sounded better.The BR2 is now discontinued and replaced by BX2 with a higher price.I ha .......

The Paradigm's will be brighter and more sibilant than the PSB's. The PSB's are warmer and have more low end. I own both. FYI the newest version of the paradign atom is now V.6 .......

Thanks! It turns out that the Minuets are *nearly* the same sensitivity as the Alpha B1's, and they are apparently very dynamic. But ... it does seem like you can't break the laws of Physics with a sm .......

In my experience, Sibilance comes from what comes before a speaker, not the speakers themselves. .......

In my comparison of the Image IB with the Primus 360 I did not notice any less treble clarity with the PSB. Maybe I would with megabuck amplifiers that Stereophile uses in its tests, but with the amps .......

The sibilance in the Polks is caused by a peak in the lower treble. I should have heeded the Stereophile review that mentioned the sibilance. Reinstalling a pair of Boston speakers, which are flatter .......

Perhaps not. The PSB is a product of Paul and Sue Barton. It was checked at the Research Lab in Canada. Synchrony features were trickled down. Carries the new dignified name of Imagine, not Image. All .......
