I really didn't mean to come off as insulting

I am sorry if my previous post came off that way.

I just don't understand the high emotions over the whole affair. I own a stereo system so that I am able to enjoy recorded music in my home, at my convenience. I like the mechanical nature of playback via vinyl records and the sound it produces. CDs are a part of the equation also as much of the music that I enjoy is not available on a record. The music is as important as the system that plays it.

I also enjoy building and tweaking components as well as comparing their subjective "sound quality". The search for records to play and music that moves me is as fun as building or tweaking the component I use to play it on. I choose not to compete with anyone attempting to attain "the absolute sound" as I am comfortable within my budget.

I figure I am a 95% kind of guy and choose not to tread too deeply into diminishing returns territory. If I became fabulously wealthy tomorrow, I probably wouldn't buy a $20,000 component or cable. I might build a dedicated room to house my system in though.

Kind Regards
