I wouldn't trade my mine for anything else either. The Absolute Sound reviewed the Merrill Heirloom twice. They were by two different reviewers & both were very positive. It was compared to the popular high-end turntables of that time & the Merrill held its own. I think the reviewers were Jack English & William Semple.
