I have two of the Mofi cassettes, and the LP and CD. While it's been some time since I've listened to the tape, I cannot imagine the tape beating the LP in any way, except *maybe* lack of surface noise.
Then again, the tapes were recorded at a very low level, so they're fairly *hissy* as far as cassettes go.
If you're really curious, I can pull them out & try them this weekend, but I doubt it'll be any great revelation...
