Sure, enjoy the table as-is for now. The nice thing about VPI tables is that they can be readily upgraded and improved upon at a later date. They have always made good tables, and it is hard to imagine that they can be signficantly improved when one is having so much fun with the present iteration. But, subtle improvements are possible, and it is nice to know that it is a matter of an add-on instead of a whole new table.
I owned a VPI HW-19 IV for a long time -- no problems, good sound. I currently own a Basis Debut table. After about three years, I've recently decided to get their speed controller. In fact, the motor, which needs to be modified, was sent back to Basis yesterday. I wish the Basis speed contoller was only $1,000 (also, removing the motor from the Debut is not an easy operation).
