For cartridges that I have heard in that price range, I prefer the Dynavector 10X4 II. I have had this one about a month, and it continues to improve daily. I tend to think the Modulus 3 is a little dark sounding(not a bad thing), and very warm. The Dynavector will compliment it, having lots of detail without shoving it in your face. The output is a healthy 2Mv, which will work great with most MM stages. Others to consider are the
Clearaudio Aurum Beta(haven't heard that one, but gets good press), Goldring Eroica LX, Blue Point Special, Grado Ref. Platinum, and possibly the Benz Micro Silver.Good luck, and happy hunting,
